    Hi there....I live in Athlone and my 4 yr old is getting really into his bike and wants to go cycling somewhere other than the small patch of pavement outside our house. Can't remember if the paths round Lough Ree (up by Millennium Forest) allow bikes, but something like that would be ok, but probably a little difficult what with all the gravel. Anyone have any other suggestions for somewhere we can go cycling near to town that doesn't involve going on roads, but would be suitable for a small child still using stabilizers?

    Beechpark West? 4 or 5 spines coming out from the centre, some flat, some hilled and a big centre circle to cycle round and round! Plenty of grass to kick a football too.
