    Hi all,

I posted this over on the SCUBA forum but this should be of interest to Galwegians also! :)

Our club, the NUIG/GMIT SubAqua Club, will be doing a 24hr dive in the Galway Atlantaquaria from 12noon Saturday 6th June (last day of Volvo Ocean Race) until 12noon Sunday 7th (World Ocean Day). We'll be collecting money on the day, all proceeds are in aid of the RNLI.

We will be broadcasting the dive LIVE via our website! - www.galwaydiving.com/24 cool.gif

We are also accepting donations (Paypal) via that webpage which we'll pass onto RNLI.

If you're around Galway on the day, call in and give your support!

    Thanks :)

As a club, we'll be keeping a member underwater for 24hrs! :p We'll be doing it in 1hr sessions, keeping at least one diver from the club underwater at all times. An hour in a tank, keeping movement to a minimum (don't want to disturb fish or cloud up water), in the middle of an aquarium at night... can get tedious! Most divers will probably do a couple of 1hr shifts over the 24hrs.

You can still catch the last 3hrs of the dive online! .... it's been a long night

We've already received €70 in paypal donations via that page so thanks to all who donated! The donation link will remain open for a few days!
