Two tracks that I made recently.Nothing at all like what I'm listening to at the moment, which is strange. But still, this is what came out when I was done :)

edit: just realised that the zippyshare song is a little bit out of tune... it wasn't like that when I was making it :o

this is deadly. really like it. really like the soulful feel to it. It kind of reminds me what's going on? maybe that's because of the party noises at the beginning. really like the vocals on it. I'm not normally a huge fan of house music but I think that's because I never normally hear it done this well.

stuck another track up on my soundclick page. If ye get a chance, give it a listen and let me know what ye think. any advice/hints/tips on how to improve what i'm doing would be very much appreciated

cheers man. quite a compliment. like you, I only like very specific house stuff. i'm into jazz and soul though and i guess that's sort of coming through in that track.

btw you're very close on where I got the party noise at the start. in fact you've got the artist.

will give your stuff a listen.

    Whiterob,

The first one reminds me of Kraftwerk when it starts off and then morphs into soft cell and early Depeche Mode. Very retro IMO.

    Good stuff.

This is really good. Really nice build up in it. nice soulful feel to it. it actually kind of reminds me of jtsuited's stuff.

Made a go at doing up a dubstep track. it's called killtime. if ye get the chance, give it a listen. Any feedback/comments/tips will be appreciated

    thanks

    thanks
thanks man.i think anyone who samples a crowd now will get comaprisons to jeffs stuff and ill readily admit that until i heard his matthew windsor stuff i never considered using those types of samples before but after i did a bit of searching it kinda slotted into the track so well i figured id use it.

Not sure if thats a bad thing and i genuinely didnt set out to do a copycat track(minus the fantastic production values).this one has been on my hard drive for a few months and i only got round to finishing it now.

anyway thanks for the feedback, ill check out your stuff now:)

edit:you got any full tracks done?

No, it's a good thing. It has the same sort of soulful feel but it definitely doesn't sound like a copycat. it definitely has it's own individual feel to it.

I've been started doing up tracks in the last month so what's on that soundclick page is pretty much as far as i've gotten. I'm really just learning as i go along through tutorial videos and hints that i'm picking up from ye guys so the stuff is still pretty raw

edit: had a listen to that last tune on soundclick. it seems the end got cut off when i was encoding. It also sounded like desperate sh!te. I've uploaded a marginally less sh!t redone version. Anyways, it's called killtime and it's at this link:

All comments and feedback are welcome

Really liked that track - nice vibe off it.

Anyways, I've sorted out my soundcloud page and removed any ****e quality MP3s - Never use a free .wav to mp3 converter. Here is the link:

So it got a little delayed, but here it is Kid Hansdome - Afrikaans

The support for this one has been crazy - Claude Young. John Selway. Phonogenic. Phil Kieran. Tom Budden. Anderson Noise. Col Hamilton. Psycatron, and an absolute shedload of others.

Was getting a good bit of airplay according to google (bbc radio, Say hello Los Angeles).
Please buy so I can eat!!:D

excellent production mate - what daw you using? Not into trance at all, the 2nd track is very good, i believe we have a challenger to JTSuited for best production, for me he was the only bloke that posted well produced/mastered tracks, your trance track sounds great too but im just not into trance! excellent though well done

atually ill make that very good production on listening 2nd time around, it could be touched up ere and there but nevertheless well done

Thanks for the feedback man, glad you enjoyed them! Yeah they both need a few tweaks here and there. I'm using software called Magix Music Maker 15.Not the most advanced program but its got quite a few features that come in handy for sorting out the sound quality of the track. My earlier tunes were done in a version of Ejay but that was a complete nightmare when it came to sound quality, everything exported was in mono:D

finally got my studio computer back yesterday and have been hammering away at finishing stuff since. also got a maschine (to celebrate afrikaans hitting the wwp house chart at 88....although that only happened today and i got the maschine yesterday!).

anywho here's a new track. bit more dancefloor than the previous two.

    Hello everybody,
I'm pretty new at the "production" game with no knowledge other than that gained through trial and error, but here's my 1st effort at something vaguely dubsteppy....http://soundcloud.com/fingers-become-thumbs/acres-mixdown
Thankyou in advance for any criticism's or feedback

didn't listen to the first solely because I'm about as good at evaluating trance as i am at making it,which is absolutely shocking for those playing at home.Buuuuuut loved the glitchy, saturated percussion in the second track...only pitfall i can see is that it ends kinda abruptly, which might be what you were going for....maybe make that "powering down" filter last a little bit longer?

Hi all kind souls who frequent the Dance Music Production Forum on boards.ie. I have put up another new track:
    http://soundcloud.com/android-78/funky-trousers

I am kind of creating tunes in a bit of bubble as no one around me is really interested in dance music that much and so feedback and comments would be much appreciated. Its a kind of housey number and I'm pretty happy with it but obviously I'd love to know what people on here think. Thanks for taking the time out to listen.

JTSuited,i am ridiculously jealous of your eq'ing/compressing/general sound mixing abilities, truly sublime, got any tips for a nubile young producer like myself? by the way...is this forum solely for irish producers?..
