Thanks for the feedback. Very much appreciated. Sure I'll have another look at it and maybe look at softening the drums on it. I can see what ya mean about it being a bit distracting

Today I release my second album of mysterious, dark, experimental ambient trip hop textures under the name GEISHA.

Featuring deep basslines, electric pianos, live guitar & pianos, and lazy beats, this album is a must for any fans of Boards of Canada, Susumu Yokota, Brian Eno, The Orb, and Christian Fennesz.

Its called "Light Touching For Heaven In An Everlasting Mercury", and its available for free to download. Get it here:

    http://www.robertcrosbie.net/light.html.

Many thanks and hope you enjoy!

    Hi Sean,
That sounds wicked. The bass is brilliant and the sample works really well there. What's it from? I'm sure I know it!

    done !

    thanks for listening

had a listen to your "and another thing" there, not my cup of barrys but it works well ... the high chord stab seems a bit loose sometimes its on the beat others not - especially in the 2nd breakdown at 1.40 it feels out of time, might have been what you were going for but not sure that it works in that breakdown. The 3rd b'down is great - matrixy ! I like the sample it works

I'll check that out about the stab later when I get home from work. Thanks for listening. The 3rd breakdown is a modulation patch on the Thor synth and it worked great there. Finally starting to get some beefed up sounds in Reason.

Knocked this out today, enjoying my break from college. Its not my usual style, bit of a tech/deep house one this time. Dont really know what to make of it, think it could be mixed better.

just took a listen there man.i loved the breakdowns in it,especially the one at around 4 mins.

i would have like if you continued the sax through the track.when it kicks in it sounds great but then it dies a bit(if you know what i mean)

still though great track.only listening on earphones so can comment on much else.

Good to see you back to this sort of style too:D

Sounds really really good jt. The main riff really reminds me of something. Is it a sample? Pardon my ignorance if it isn't.

    Sounds like a good idea.
To add to this, we can all appreciate constructive criticism which should help us all make better music, which can only be a good thing.

Well thought it has potential but lacked direction after listening several times needed some flow throughout change of tempo perhaps . would love to hear finished arttical keep up good work

haha don't worry. no it's not a sample but it's a very very common progression in deep house stuff.
    cheers.

This one is really good sean, one of my favourites of yours for sure. Love the vocal 'lets take the bassline for a walk' ten the break in at 3 minutes, real mellow. I take it this isnt the finished product as its real short, be sure to post the full track when youve finished!
