If i am not mistaken thats a preset in reason, slightly modified!!! Epic fail in my opinion, be original!

Well, come back with a name of the said demo or it's just speculation :)

    Hi all,
Latest one up. Sort of an acidy trancey number. Let us know what you think:

    Cheers!

i think whats holding back this tune is the hats.

theres just zero groove in them.its also lacking a big open hat in between the kicks.

you should just do a basic house beat(kick, snare, open hat)then add the other little hat pattern in with a lower volume.

not really what busy enough for a trance track.synths were nice though:)

not really in love with the intro but the synth is nice.

i dont really the drum pattern either, think it might be better suited to a regular beat but it does grow on me towards the end :D

its a tad repetitve.i can here the progreesion but its a little too subtle, might need another more dominant element in there to keep peoples interest.

love the squelchy noises @ 6:08

tis a bit long ha ha ha:)

really appreciate the feedback man, yeah i was thinking to mix it up with the drum pattern between a regular beat and the current one to see if make much of difference and yeah actually sort out the repetitiveness.

haha, the squelchy noise... instead of needing more cowbell i should be needing more squelchy :D

    have tendency for over-length :o

will give it a few more cracks with the suggestions man, merci

Thank you very much! Had a listen to a few of yours there too and I like what you're doin!

I had a lot more tunes but they were done as a novice and I've come a long way since so I've kinda discarded them. I've been thinking lately though of re-doing them and reviving them with my updated knowledge etc!

I've only being trying to make tunes since November so total novice here. At moment I'm starting to go back over tunes and tweak them a bit and see which ones are worth keeping (which isn't an awful lot) and when I'm finished doing all that I think I'll totally revamp my soundcloud page.

a new track posted up on soundcloud.

called a lifeless ordinary. as i mention in the description, it's kind of an atmospheric piece trying to create a particular vibe, like that of a nostalgic trance party or a depressed techno-head thinking of times past. dance music for depressives, as the album will be called. :)

i know i could still do an awful lot with it but sometimes i just want to get something/anything done and then go back to at a later date.

    any comments welcome.

The only depressing thing about that tune is how good it is. Seriously class...

Really like that tune Steve, lovely and chilled out.

I love that saxophone (is there flute in there too?) on Coup. Gorgeous stuff. Some really solid tunes there.

Okay, new one up. A bit more techno-y that what I'd normally do. Would love to hear some feedback. Cheers.

my only comment is that i found the reverb on the clap too much for my liking...

Thanks for taking the time to listen dude! Just a saxophone on Coup with a touch of metaverb and beat delay. Sent it off to get mastered not so long ago, will post the results up here.
