thanks for listening any feedback more than welcome

I quiet like the string sounds you've got going on there although I think you need to add in a bit more variety in the track on terms of breaks, buildups etc. A little bit two similar all along for a track that's over 6 minutes. :)

    I like the kick sound.

Some bits are better than other bits. Some bits you might be better to just play once without repeating them.

Kind of a progressive house vibe here. Was hoping to get a fatter sound on the strings but couldn't get any FX that worked. Tried reverb, chorus etc. Anyone with any tips would be appreciated.

You might be better to post it on soundcloud - the sound quality is better than youtube.

    It sounds fine.

The pad line you're using is using 5ths and/or 4ths, so any bass line against it is going to sound funny. It doesn't sound "funny". But it sounds like you'd expect. I think the bassline sits quite well.

Okay, I've been pluggin away at two tunes so I thought I'd lash them up here to get a bit of feedback.

First one is Cannibal. The drums are a bit sketchy on this still:
    http://soundcloud.com/four-bear/cannibal

And the other one is called Stab in the Dark. I had this up on Soundcloud already but I've tried to get the elements sitting together a bit better this time around:

Ok i was a bit of a bastard there in the comments i left, but honestly i think this is your best track so far. Your getting closer with each track to getting a release quality track. Just a few things to take into account though.

First off the track does not need to be that long at all. Im sorry but 9minutes is a bit too much, youd be better of bringing it down to about 6 minutes or shorter if you can.

The main synth line needs to be kept more interesting, this can be done with extra notes here and there, also i think the sound is slightly weak for a main line. Perhaps duplicate the track and have some of the notes playing with varying colours/amounts of verb and delay.

The drums are good but they sound very weak also. They need to be higher and more punchy in the mix, if your using ableton try sticking some analog warmth of them. And duplicating the track and notes and hard panning each track left and right. If your using reason try sticking a scream4 on the redrum and choose the bass ace preset also toggle to the back and give the drums and different channel in the mixer for the left and right output. Also more fills here and there could be good.

It could also do with a subtle sub bass in there to give it more oomph.

Also attention to detail, evolve everything, filter in, filter out, mad efx.

Keep it up you are really improving.

    I like it.

You could do some dubsteppy type wawa's on the main bass line for variation. And stuff like that. If you were that way inclined.

Cheers Steve, that's after giving me loads to go over on in the track. I'm going to go back to it at the weekend with a fresher pair of ears and have a go at it again but it's really great to get a critique of it like that. Thanks

Before the drop I think the hats on 2+4 are a tiny bit too high up in the mix, and could do with a little bit of EQ too, are a little too bright for me.

The first break and drop are lovely. The break could be longer though. Panning the reverb sweep is a very nice touch.

But yeah, really high production quality, great track.

    I really like that drumloop.

To do the Bond theme right you need to have the twangy guitar in there somewhere. That Nu-Metal riff, just does not cut it.

Thanks for the Feedback KRD, glad you like beats!

To be honest I wasn't trying to 'do it right' - it was just a bit of larking around and more a nod to the idea of the theme.

The twangy guitar signiture riff is on that track - did you miss it? The Nu Meatal Guitar only comes in in the latter half.

Its in there on 3 occassions teh twangy stuff.
