I'm digging this, although i would have liked some more in the first 1.30 or so. I think it's very minimal which is what i enjoy about the track, might be a little bit long and some might think it gets repetitive but pretty good work for a first track dude.

I don't think the problem is the length.

You could make your drums a little more interesting by having at least slight variations from bar to bar - little shuffles, small runs, reversed delays on hits, ghost notes on the kicks and thangs - to keep it interesting.

Same with other parts - that kind of track would benefit from slight differences in each element, so they don't sound absolutely repetitive.

You could do with some cymbal like events - at places like 2.48. They don't have to be symbols.

It's like two different songs - the parts at the beginning and end that are more techno I like and could be developed into something more interesting, the trancey part in the middle sounds a bit generic and I wouldn't be that interesting to me. The hats that come in aound the 30 second mark sound kind of out of time or something, they sound a bit strange to my ears.

It's not really two tracks - it's nearly like two tracks

It's got one of those really long outros - that seem to go on foreva - which is not always a bad thing. The outro does actually sound like a drop into another track. I like the outro - it has that hypnotic feel to it.

Before any of you go "BLAH BLAH YOUTUBE:mad:" , please watch the vid. I think it's amusing.

Anyway i value the opinions of anyone who wants to give me one or three.

I like this style of music and basically I want to see if I can pull it off.

    Cheers

Brilliant beats. Good solid sound. I like the track a lot.

That's got a lot of potential there! Nice atmosphere throughout, but as Stephen points out on Soundcloud, there's a lot that needs to be done to lift it.

I think it'd make an interesting project for folks to remix if you were up for it?

That Pt 2 track is top class work. I'd bump up the mix a little but the whole thing is nicely restrained. The introduction of the bucket/bell sound is sweet.

This is my latest, a chill out track called Under The Influence. Just started out as playin around, but grew in to a kind of stoned laid back track. Any feedback is much appreciated ;)

I'm having a terrible problem getting down to completing tracks. I'm having a terrible problem completing this statement.

I need some kind of quick fire project work to get doing some stuff to speed again.

I think I might be too embarrassed to hand over that version of the stems.

It doesn't get good til the breakdown. The outro is fine

There may be another problem - something I and everyone has been doing. Maxing the sound - empty boominess

our latest effort, not really sure what genre you would classify it as, but its at 140bpm.

feedback is appreciated, see what you think:)

I like it. I like the beats that you're using, it has a real northern soul feel to it. I also like the high pitched orchestral sample going through it. Although I have to say there's something about the bass that's kind of bugging me, it's like it's not quite fitting in time wise, that it needs a wee bit of quantization. Is there some sort of delay on it?

I really liked the first one Tokyo Nights, really nice groove but this one felt a bit too bouncy or something. The first one was great though

Cheers for listening! Think the one i did yesterday was a bit rushed, will probably take it down and rework it a bit.
