Almost finished this track, the one that previously had vocals on it.
Made some new artwork. I think it's better than the artwork I had before, I hope.

What do ye think? If you have good monitors please let me know if anything is sounding 'unfit'. I'm gonna have to invest in a decent set soon.

    Thanks :)

Hi, just made this track yesterday

    any feedback welcome,

    cheers

Like this, nice melody too, I left you a comment on Soundcloud earlier.
I think a few interesting sound FX towards the end of the track would have done good as it goes on for a bit.

That's pretty ncie man. I'm not a huge fan of the main synth sound but it does sound better when the bass plays. One thing I think you do though is keep the bass line going and change it up a little to give the track that extra funk. At the moment you have three notes that make up the bass followed y two hits that sound like and elastic or something (sorry, can't describe it any better ) and I think they weaken the overall sound of the track a bit

So do you think I should have those 'elastic' sounds removed from the track? As for the bass, the notes do change but I guess I'll make it sound more visible. Have to use the 'midi pitch control' to adjust the bass so its a bit of a nightmare.
    Thanks man! :D

Put this up a while ago and have been tweaking it a bit since. This is version 2 of the track, some elements changed and a small bit of eq'ing done. Quality isn't the best but any feedback is appreciated as it's an ongoing work.

Hey man, that's a sick track. At around 3:45 you've got those snares speeding up, I think maybe a longer notice to the listener that the track will change or some effect in there might help in the adjustment towards that part as it's a very visible change (unless that's what you were aiming for), you know. Seriously good track though. :)

Ah that was you! Thanks! :) Yeah I think it could do with a bit of selective editing towards the end as well. I did it in one take and sometimes I like to leave it just as it was made.....
that's a nice track you've put up there as well. would like to hear the finished version. :)

great atmosphere and i like dubby echoes. Have you thought about a drifting echoing melody with some high notes to give it some variety? Just my 2 cents :)

Cheers for listening mate, i did think of putting in a melody over the top, but couldnt quite find anything i liked, probably will go back to it at some stage.

I had a listen to your track. I think you almost have too much going on in terms of melodies on top of eachother. Maybe have less going on but pump up that synths that are still present with some phattening type efx. Also little bit of a lack of bass going on. Otherwise nice arrangment!

I think the this track and the previous one you posted could be very easily integrated into a movie soundtrack. Not sure that they have enough presence to be standalone tracks if you know what I mean but I can definitely see how they would add great atmosphere to a film scene or even the theme tune to a tv series.

I wanted to make something that sounded like it was recorded on a talkboy or something.

Very Lo Fi garage burialesque sound:

Really enjoyed listening to that Steve, every element fits it perfectly. Nice chilled vibe too, feel very calmed after it! :D

This is another track I've been working on a while now, trying my hand for the first time at remixing something. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Very burialesque indeed.. Excellent track!! Great drums. What kind of effects do you run the drums through?

    Thanks for listening lads,

To answer your question about the drums, just using drum samples from maschine, each individual sample has a different filter on it, they are then passed through limelite to dirty up the sound, then light distortion from a overdrive guitar pedal, then isotope vinyl effect.

Thanks for that. I just picked up a Maschine @ the weekend. Love it so far.

Nice work man. I think it's missing some kind of lead line though. You have a side-chained synth going on the the latter half of the song that could be brought to the fore a bit to give a bit of interest. I also think the kick stands out a tad too much. Other than that it's a good head nodder :D
