You had me from the first bar on this one. Love the distortion on the strings/synth lead. Nice treatment on the vocal sample as well. As a personal preference I would pitch the snare up a little bit to give it a bit more presence but overall top stuff. :)

Nice bit of music. There's a universe to play in with distortion synths though I'm not sure about the blues at the end. Good though.

    And......your heavily disguised voice?

Anyway the track is epic 80s, low budget, cult zombie movie, best watched on degraded on a degrade VHS copy.

Did you record the guitar straight into the Maschine?

Yeah it sounds very like a guitar.. its actually just a synth put through a guitar pedal. I played the bendy parts using the pitch wheel.

    Thanks for listening

The vocal sample is just a random snippet processed through a vocoder with a lot of delay and verb

Another odd track along the same lines... few mistakes in this one, the mix is questionable as well but i kinda like it being a bit raw.

Cool, on so many levels.....I think the UN security council will have to convene an emergency session, to discuss....your weapons of mass refrigeration.

I love the vinyl crackle on those drums.

Very good, reminds me a lot of Boards of Canada. I'm actually fascinated at how you get your music (synths) to sound like that? It's really authentic and well done.

An absolute bucket loads of efx on each sound. Took me ages to figure out my fx chain for my latest sound.

For example one synth would typically have, distortion, flanger, chrous, delay, spring reverb, metallic reverb, lofi, delay, saturator, compression amongst other things thrown into the mix.

Hey man. There are nice elements here but for me the the overall track is a bit disjointed, I'm not sure that if flows together very well. As I say there are some nice sections such as the bass/synth at 1.07. The main lead at 2.05 is a bit weak though.
Sorry for being critical, it's just my opinion which is worth as much as a politican's promise ;)

Thanks, I've uploaded a longer 1min version, it's been fixed up a bit compared to the last one. Really want to make this as 'next level' as possible so fire away if you're up for it :)

    Appreciate it.

Don't run your plucky arp the whole time. You have to go away, so you be missed, and it's great when you comeback.

And remember - when you build up, don't forget to drop down. And when you drop down....don't forget to build up.

You might be going a little too deep with the side-chaining. You can keep it deep - a really great effect is to keep the pulsing dance groove going without a kick. And when the kick comes back it's really big.

Another lovely track. The oscillator gets in the way a bit at the start and there should be someone playing a soft trumpet or something similar (but he's dead). Non-construct and it's decent.

This has some nice sounds but I don't think the chopped female vocal sits properly in the overall track. Also it seems to be between chill and more straighforward electro house. What I mean by that is that the synth melody that comes in at 2.21 has very much a SHM vibe to it. I think you could have a real club banger if you took that and worked it into a 4/4 house tune. Of course the thought of doing that might make you physically ill but that what is sounds like to me :D

Did two more over the last couple of weeks

Slowed things down a bit and a bit darker

Spent a lot longer on this one but not as happy with the overall sound I got

Certainly got the deep house vide going there anyway. My suggestions would be to work the tom percussion a bit more and maybe introduce it a little earlier. Also the organ hits you have throughout the track are a little sharp for my taste, maybe roll off a bit of the attack to soften the start of the sound. I think you could add a little bit of reverb as well just to thicken the sound a little. Nice job though.
