Another odd track along the same lines... few mistakes in this one, the mix is questionable as well but i kinda like it being a bit raw.

Not bad effort at all man. Although there is something about the stab that isnt doing it for me. Sounds a bit plasticy if ya get me, maybe try to fatten it up using a saturation effect or something or maybe layer it with something else. Some splattering of organic percs here and there could be good aswell, some bongo/conga type thing.

Very good effort for your first house track though, fair play!

Something ive been working on... Really want to do some more editing to it but my CPU cannot handle the amount of efx going on. Literally have to export every time i make a change to hear the difference.

Why don't you just make some decisions and print the effects.

Even bounce down to a more manageable number of tracks and edit from there. Create a new project, and just start work with something like 8 tracks - if you screw up you can go back to the original.

It don't know what you're working on, but you've got some ideas there. The degraded wobbly C60 effect is cool. If you made it more clear for yourself - printing down tracks, you might get a better grip - and be able to clarify it.

Same story with me, it's ridiculous but if you're using Ableton Live you can 'Freeze' multiple tracks (ones you're not adding automation/ FX to) and edit the ones you want. You can 'unfreeze' them after. It helps helps me save CPU anyway. I'm not sure if you can do that with other DAW's...

Nice tune btw, very chill, love the break at 2:56 :)

Attempt number two, I dunno what's making me make this kind of track it's nothing like any of the records I own. Wwould love feedback, I'm still learning the ropes, will be trying my hand at a techno track at the weekend. Made this one in a few hours last night, my goal is to knock out a good few so I pick up different techniques an don't get bogged down in any one track.

Steve I'll give your tip on Saturation for the last one I made a try later tonight.

Sounds good..very lounge type House. A couple of things that stuck out to me was the double 'click' and piano at 1:46, it loses some of the vibe the entire track is setting imo.
Also you could try adding a saxophone in there I think it would work well from the vibe I got. All in all, good job so far.

Here's a track I just finished, was aiming for something kind of spontaneous. I think it turned out as expected but I'd appreciate feedback from anyone.
If you have time, check it out.

    Thanks. :D

I would love to hear that break into a full techno stomper, especially after that 'Drummer, I want you to get real funky' sample, because what precedes it is pure getting ready for it.

I reckon if that made it to my iPod it would be stuck permanently on repeat. Stuff like that I call shoegazer house. Two small issues I'd have with it are the small break in the beat at around 2.40 is a tiny bit too long (or too short) so it nearly sounds like a mistake and when the appregiated high synth comes in after the first breakdown it would be nice to hear a bit more messing about with the freq and res of it to give it a bit more of a Shed like oomph.

    Hey Guys

This is a new track I'm working on. Not sure what genre it falls under... kind melodic electronica I suppose.

    Some feedback would be great.

I like this overall but there's a few things that I'm not mad about. The off beat snare kinda makes it difficult to get into the track as it jolts you out of a regular rhythm (but maybe that's what you were going for). You have a nice bass line at the first half of the track and then discard it for the latter half. While the more pad like feel to the bass in the second half is cool, there is a level of funk missing with that earlier bassline gone. Final point is that the middle section which has a blippy kind of synth line, I'd rough that up a little by adding a bit of distortion, as it stands it's just a bit too clean for me.
Hope this doesn't p*ss you off too much! :)
