Stone Roses Fools Gold , This is the One , Waterfall
Nirvana Smells like Teen Spirit , Lithium , Come as you are
REM Shining Happy People , Whats the Frequency Kenneth , Imitation of life
U2 (not Zoo or Pop though) Beautiful Day , Vertigo , Pride
Pixies Here Comes your Man , Monkey Gone to Heaven , Debaser
Manic Street Preachers Motown Junk , Your Love alone is not enough , You stole the Sun from my heart
Oasis She's Electric , Some Might Say , Lyla
Blur Song 2 , Girls and Boys , Parklife
    Morrissey/The Smiths Panic , Ask

Kaiser Chiefs I Predict a Riot , Ruby , Oh My God

Pixies - Here comes your man
Manics - A design for life
    Aslan - Crazy world
Sultans of ping - Where's me jumper
    Emotional fish - Celebrate
Stunning - Brewing up a storm
    Something happens - Parachute

As gustavo said you'd be looking for the more uptempo numbers while at the same time, well known. It might make you sick to your stomach to play some of these (because they're so overdone, not necessarily because they're bad) but it has to be done.:o
