Haha nice one. I still stand by it. Pokernews make money from advertising every time I view their site. They're not doing it for charity. The least they could do is jot down the name of the player who took a few chips off Helmuth and acknowledge him when they post about it.

It's laziness. They assume that people only want to know what the likes of Helmuth and Ivey are doing, so they only bother to post details of famous players. That's what gets the hits to the site and that's what brings in the ad revenue. Actually it wouldn't surprise me if the people on the floor gather all the details, and that the editors who post the updates are the ones I should be annoyed with.

I'm not gonna write them a strongly worded letter, boycott the site or start an e-poll to get them to change their demonic ways. I'm just venting my frustrations with their processes on an internet forum.

I have been a live reporter, managed live reporting teams, employed live reporters, sacked live reporters (and still regularly do) and i can assure you that generalising that "its laziness" is not a winning argument on so many levels.

However, you're entitled to you're opinion, my opinion is that you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

I mean, from your response you don't even seem to know how a poker media website makes money, cos you're way off the mark in thinking they make anything from an individual just viewing their site.

And live reporters are every bit as likely to feel frustrated at events for a host of reasons as a reader might at any given moment in time, and more often than not for reasons outside of their control.

Anyway, just trying to shed some light on the processes.

    LOL! No.

They don't make a cent from you unless you sign up through one of their affiliates. Pokernews actually make a loss from many of the events they report from.

As far as I'm aware the WSOP doesn't use a player card system so getting the players name is not easy. Lot's of players don't want to talk to you or don't speak English. This is aside from the fact that you might not actually be able to get close to the player from behind a rope or TV cameras.

Most people DO only want to know what the big names are doing, which is why they always get priority. Their sponsors are also the site's affiliates so mentioning them is important, but you're way off the mark anyway. Tonnes of unknowns get a mention, and an unknown always gets a mention if he's among the chip-leaders.

Again you're showing you're ignorance here. The people who are out on the floor gathering the info ARE the one's who post the updates. Why the **** would an editor do it?

Pokernews have what they call "shadows" who review the reporters post for consistency, spelling errors or explicit content. That is all.

Don't get frustrated, it's not healthy. Just try not to pass comment about things you know nothing about.

I was a live reporter for Pokernews for a long time before I decided it wasn't worth what they were paying me, and others were willing to do it for less.

It's a thankless, tiresome and very monotonous task that I wouldn't wish upon anyone, especially having to deal with harrahs and espn at the main event.

So your Da is Mister Muster and you and Dave are Masters Masters? And I thought the situation in our house was confusing.

Good luck to Ray today: he's playing a blinder. Also all the other Irish still in.

    Graydon Bets Wu Out

Bingjian Wu continued his aggressive play, raising to 10,500 from middle position. When he got called by Michael Graydon in the big blind, we saw a flop of {3-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

Wu put in a continuation bet of 17,000 and Graydon made the call, taking us to the {Q-Clubs} on the turn. When Wu checked, Graydon bet 25,000 and took the pot.

    :)

That is what they started today at, Nicky is down as 1 chip as they had no total for him at the end of yesterday. 1 off the bubble but still over 760 players with chips so at least 100 of these are busto..
