    Hi,

I have been made redundant. I have mortgage protection cover through the EBS, which I have been told will kick in when I am in receipt of social welfare - but what exactly does this mean?? When I go to sign on or when I recieve my first social welfare payment?

Has anyone claimed for this and when did you recieve it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Check the terms and conditions of your own policy, but usually these policies pay from four weeks after you finish up work for a maximum of twelve months (but hopefully you'll find a new job within twelve months).
