Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mate works for a popular breakdown service who handle VW assist contract and they've had a few repeat calls from Scirocco owners.
Seems to take a few months for VW to iron out niggles in new releases...plenty of probs with new Passat when it first came out and a mates dad had 2 new engines fitted to his VW Toerag before they eventually replaced the car.

To the poster whose mate was considering legal action against the garage, go over their head and contact MDL (Motor distributors Limited who import VW, Audi, Skoda into Ireland), the fact that you're contacting them usually helps pressure the garage to get it sorted !

It's a beauty in the metal but sinful of VW to release it with any engines other than the 2.0 TSi, 2.0 TDi and whatever crazed lump the R gets.

A 1.4 Scirocco just sounds wrong.

VWGI import VW now, they're out in Liffe Valley now rather than Naas Road.

Contact them if dealer won't help you anymore.

My 1.4 is powerfull enough and that is 122BHP. I had an Audi Q5 2.0 Diesel last week and my 1.4 Scirocco is way more nippy up the gears.

The 1.4 160BHP version is even faster.
