As the title says this thread is for discussion and analysis of the results of the elections. Hope HB is ok with this but I reckon that it deserves a thread of its own.

I don't know about you guys but this is the part I love.....the count.

Coverage on RTÉ 1 today from 1pm to 2.10pm and 3.55pm to 6.01pm and tomorrow from 1.00pm to 2.45pm and 9.30pm to 11.35pm.

I've heard that Dave O'Connor and Sean Browne have polled well in the Balbriggan ward CC according to early tallies.

Where is the count being held?

It was held in PSLC in Portmarnock for the last GE.

They are indeed for the candidates running for the Fingal CC in the Balbriggan ward.

There's also the election for the Balbriggan Town Council where there is some overlap of candidates running. The results for this don't seem to be available anywhere atm.

Green Party paying heavy price for their current alliance with F.F. all over the country. Thought Stephen O'Connell would have done a little better but he had Ken Farrell to contend with in Lusk. some dog fight for last seat.

Will be interesting to see the figures for each town. The article on R.T.E yesterday obviously made people get up and vote.

No talk I'm afraid. I'm fairly sure its a cost thing that the council wouldn't want to go near.

If space was available, I'm sure that council could donate a room and some roof space for an antenna!
