Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

righty, just got some 120 film done, half the shots were fine but the other half all had this white edge like so:

I've had this happen before the last time i shot a roll, but never on any rolls before. And the camera was taped shut.

My only theory is that the film is not fully overlapping when it's winding on, and the edges are getting burned up when i unload it...but that wasn't obvious. Most of the affected pics were either at the start or the end of the roll, and one was in the middle. And the white edge was in the right side of every pic.

    Theories, folks?! :pac:

looks like a classic light leak to me, but you say it was taped up to be light tight, so that kills that.

your theory about the roll not overlapping properly seems off the mark to me.

It might be because the pressure plate isn't pushing the film tight to the frame opening. Thus when you shoot the light leak is actually via the lens and spilling out from the film plane. In this case it seem to be spilling of to the left (looking at the camera from the back) thereby polluting the next frame of film before it even gets in front of the diaphragm. The explanation why it occurs at either end and not in the middle is maybe because in the middle the film tension is balanced and therefore stays tight to the frame without the need for the pressure plate?

After that I am out of ideas!
