Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    A few questions about the new Panasonic Lumix G1:

    Has anyone been using the Panasonic Lumix G1? Is it any good? How much would one expect to pay for it? Are there any good sites with deals on cameras?

    I don't know if any of the regulars here have one yet, though several have expressed interest in the G1's Olympus cousin which will be revealed in the next few weeks.

    There are a load of links in the what camera should I buy sticky which should help you answer you question as to whether it's any good, though the reviews have been generally positive.

    It's too new to be generally discounted in price yet, you can check out some UK prices here and German ones here or here.

    I thought it had been slated as over priced and under functional hype really? Bar the minor size difference, why not pay a price in the same proximity as the G1 and get a regular SLR?
