I'm having problems with bluetooth pairing.

I cannot connect via bluetooth to Win7 x64 PC or my Jabra headset. Anyone have any ideas?

for example, will i loose my firefox links? and xchat channels? hmmmm.

I would like to be able to have the "phone" icon on all four desktops, but I can't seem to be able. When I try and create a shortcut I don't get the phone as an option. I only have it on one desktop which came like that.

Anyone know can this be done?

I think your settings should be vodafone live ones Joe.
At http://www.vodafone.ie/helpsupport/phones/settings/
I put in an n97 as the phone(they dont have the n900 up yet)

Connection name : Vodafone live!
Packet data
Access Point name: live.vodafone.com
User name: dublin
Password: dublin
Dont prompt password at login

And that should do it?
access point name setting is live.

ps Is maemo select down or something? I cannot get into it

I noticed that you only get a micro usb charger with a plug at the other end for charging...so its not possible to use standard nokia chargers for this device????

i got this adapter with my n900.It takes both old and new chargers.

picks up the media instantly.
plugged in the usb cable.
mass storage mode for the sd card and pc suite for the internal memory!

even when the n900 is switched off it simply behaves like a usb stick! :cool:

whats the easiest/best way to transfer music from my computer/N95 8GB to the N900?

Thats pretty cool.

Has anyone tried using Canola2 without a memory card just the internal mem. t wont pick up media on the internal mem and when you try to browse for media it just list my non existant memory card.

I have the same settings, it does connect but I think Ive noticed it only stays on 2G. Must try the other settings above to see if it will pick up the 3G.

Thanks. Works a treat!! Just rang a mate in Oz via skype from the phone and it was crystal clear!

Is pixelpipe available yet to install? Its not in maemo extras on the phone.

Its on maemo.org somewhere, I just installed it. Make sure you have the three main repositories set up.

Weird. Details must not be entered in correctly unless theyre experiencing some down time. Check your catalogue entries against this.

Just a word of warning. Extras-testing and Extras-devel have some apps that could potentially cause problems on your device.

You'll probably be fine with extras-testing but I wouldn't enable extras-devel unless there was something specific you wanted.

If you are using extras-testing check the comments on the app from here to make sure it doesn't have a bad bug

has anyone else had a problem with messages.

any message i get from a number that has a name in it.

example, r.j's(nightclub) text me and the number is R.j's!!

lots of companys do it.

anytime i get a text from a number like that the message doesnt come up at all.

not sure what is causing it but hope it will be fixed.

okay i got a text from argos and it comes up as argos and that works fine so must just be something to do with r,j's text.

anyone else having any problems like this.

two questions. doers anyone know how to get the instant credit balance from vodafone. ringing #1741* used to show you your balance but when i try it on n900 it says its an invaliid number and wont ring.

also are there any short cut keys to go straight to the dialer.

lay in bed this morning checking texts emails and board posts. i love this ddvice.

Text 'bal' to 50233. Once a 'conversation' has been established, it's a quick way to retrieve your balance.

FF is crashing on me and over all feels slow. At this point I think MicroB is still better.
Still it's only a RC so once it's bugs are sorted I'm sure it will be good!

might be invalid because it's wrong it's *174# not #1741*;)
