Ive heard its 16GB for memory cards, but its already got 32GB in-built. Tbh i'd be surprised if it didn't take larger cards. Will you ever need more than 48GB though?

    Just insured mine www.phonesonline.ie.

I looked at them but their T&C turns me off.

The T&C leads me to believe that they cover nothing other than what the warranty already does.... no theft? no accidental damage? wtf?

    It's here!

Few questions, if you don't mind?
    • Screen: Does it look like its easy to scratch? On a scale of 1 to 10 how responsive is it?
    • What firmware did it come with and could you update it OTA or did you need the Pc suite?
    • How is overall build quality, especially the USB port?
    • Its only been a day, but has it lagged at all?
    • How is the Web browser? Fast over 3G?
    • What network are you using it on?
    • How are you finding Landscape only? Can you see it as a novelty that may wear off?

    Thanks

The screen is great, its very responsive, i did come from a 5800 though, so anything was going to be better. it doesnt seem like its easy to scratch, although its only been a day. and the screen quality is fantasitc 9/10.
It didnt come with the latest firmware but it updated ota once it was connected to the net.
The build quality is great, the slider seems strong and has a reassuring click when you slide it out. Ive no complaints with the usb, although its never something i had any issue with on other handsets.
well the first day with it was always going to see me testing it to its limits, so eventually it did lag, but that was with 5 heavy pages, youtube, digg, engadget etc open and a snes emulator. But even then it was only minor.
The browsing is amazing, still cant believe how well it handles multiple windows each with flash elements.
I'm usuing it with meteor prepay, i haven't tried the 3G yet though so can't comment.

Landscape only is grand so far, it feels odd in the hand when holding it in portrait.

All the above was posted on my shiney N900!!!!

Ye the portrait mode works a charm, not too sure if its something id use really, the phone doesnt really feel right in portrait mode.

In case my previous posts weren't clear enough, i love this device, screw the iphone! It's surpassed my expectations, and i've only just started tinkering with it!

I just found out how to use the IR port to control my tv... Sweet!

Just called them the there and they have confirmed that Theft is 100% covered and they have processed countless claims for theft.

They are going to amend the T&Cs.

sorry, but a company who is going to amend their terms and conditions based on one person lodging a complaint based on a GAPING HOLE in them doesn't sound all that genuine tbh..............

I appreciate what you are saying but it is not "their" terms and conditions. They have just reproduced the T&Cs from the underwriters website. They just reproduced it wrong as oppossed to just ameding the T&Cs on a whim.

The T&Cs on the underwriter of the insurance website are different. From the underwriters website:
The Insurer shall not be liable for
    1. theft of the Equipment from any unattended vehicle unless all windows are closed all doors are securely locked all security devices are activated and the Equipment is concealed from view in a locked glove compartment locked boot or locked load area
    2. theft of the Equipment from any premises or mode of transport unless involving forcible and violent entry or exit
    3. theft of the Equipment from the person of the user unless involving force or the threat thereof

Still not perfect by any means but they were the best option I could find. Unfortunately I cannot avail of the insurance provided by operator due to it being a corporate account and me purchasing the handset sim free.
