    I heard from someone that its possible to do this qualification online!? Is this true? And if so where, through what provider?

    Yep primary teaching with Hibernia yes but I've never heard of an online way to qualify as a secondary school teacher, maybe your friend got mixed up...

    There is a Hibernia option for second-level teachers of maths, physics and chemistry in England, so there is some truth in this.
