    Schindler's List.

    Kiddin..

A film that went very much without due compliment last year was Kisses. An Irish film with great acting from the two kids involved. Better acting than most adult performances in other Irish films in fact.

Otherwise, I'd have to concur with those who shout Amelie.

One of my all time favourites. Happy, intelligent, original. Hard to surpass in any regard.

    - The gameplan (I know, being a bloke I really shouldnt like this or even admit to liking it but its just a nice film and the rock is very funny)

You weren't the only person brutha. The film actually made me shed a couple of tears too. I'd blame my period ... if I was a girl. But I was hungover, so that's about the same.

Anyway, I'd also recommend (that haven't been listed already):

    The Astronaut Farmer

    and

    Dan In Real Life

16 Blocks is an action film of sorts. But it's central theme is redemption. It might leave you with a fuzzy feeling at the end
when good triumphs over evil etc.

K-Pax is the only one I can think of that hasn't already been mentioned.
