    Quick question.

Mate is over in the UK at present and had been on the look out for a VW Caddy but has been offered a very cheap Hyundai Trajet, question is, if it is properly converted is the load area in a Trajet big enough to qualify for €50 VRT?

I think this has been brought up here before and the consensus was that it would need to be realy cheap because crew cab trajets can be picked up for peanuts here in ireland. Going through the hassle of converting it would just not be worth it.

+1, although I'm sure the same principles can be applied. Likew with the Amazon crewcabs, at in an extra box of space if needed etc.

doesn't apply anymore since they changed the crewcab criteria (around 2004 or so) only option for commercialising a Trajet (which I reckon wouldn't have been big enough for a crewcab in the first place) is to remove all the rear seats and blank out the rear windows and rear door glass.

Cheers guys, in any case his plan is to convert it to a full commercial rather than a crewcab, i.e. all seats out and blank the rear side windows. Like a Seat XL van.

The revenue website doesn't appear to have a list of criteria to get the €50 VRT I think it used to be a load area of 2.1m behind the front seats, anyone know for sure?

it'll definitely qualify. think it's a percentage of the overall length or something,
