Images for website

    Guys,

I'm revamping our website at the moment, we make training equipment.

I need some strong images for the site. I want to mix in some of our own with some 'real world' images. Unfortunately I don't have a budget to go off and buy them.

Does anyone know a good source of free-to-use images? I can put attribution on the images and maybe backlinks if necessary, but I am struggling to find the right images as our stuff is quite specific.

I have used the creative commons search and found a few... other sites I have seen are freefoto.com... but can't find much useful.

Anyone know of any great resources for this type of thing?

    All info appreciated.

You want good, but you don't want to pay. Good luck!

I'd recommend just going to iStockPhoto, it's not free, but the cost is rock bottom.

Otherwise, you might be able to find stuff on Flickr, but be very careful about the licencing terms.

I find Stock.XCHNG the best for free images but if you're looking for something specific to improve the look of your website then you'd be best paying for your images as p has suggested.

Images only cost 1 or 2 euro. The small or medium sizes will probably work for you.

Thanks guys. The sites I had found for stock photos were charging 50euro a photo... over 20 images that adds up. 1 or 2 euro per image is certainly workable.

    Thanks again!

Another option is to slap a request on adverts.ie (same username password as boards.ie) looking for a local 'tog to get all the extra shots you need, just have a look at the photography forum under Arts here and you'll see the quality of work available.
