Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ESPN have already announced their packages (thus far).

    Schedule here

The Saturday 3pm games are up for grabs in the next few weeks. Setanta Ireland would need to get sorted out before then if it wishes to bid again for these rights.

They lost all their rights, due to the way Setanta Ireland was linked with the Setanta company that went bust.
The auction for Premier League broadcast rights in the Republic of Ireland for live Saturday 3pm fixtures in season 2009/10 will take place in the coming weeks. The auction process for seasons 2010/11 to 2012/13 will take place later

so setanta ire have lost the monday night and saturday night game.am i right in saying the 3pm sat only applies to ireland?if so its probably best if setanta dont get them ,save having to pay for 3 subs.any idea when ESPN will announce prices?

headshot would RTE or TV3 be able to afford thre rights?surely it would make sense for ESPN to get these, make there package more attractive to irish customers.

from the irish times on wednesday.
    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/sport/2009/0708/1224250235971.html

ESPN to launch new sports channel

THE WALT Disney-owned sports network ESPN said yesterday it would launch a new channel in Britain in August to show its 46 Premier League soccer matches and other international sports programming.

The channel, which will be available in standard and high definition, will also carry a range of American sports previously provided on the ESPN America channel, which will be integrated into the new British channel.

Dominant pay-TV firm BSkyB, which owns the rights to show the remaining 92 live Premier League matches next season, will sell the ESPN channel to both its residential and commercial customers.

For residential customers, it will be available on a premium subscription basis, for €10 a month to existing Sky Sports subscribers and for €14 per month to other Sky customers.

Hm, that's the first mention I have seen for Irish prices. I'd have expected them to be charging more since it's £9 and £12 in the UK respectively.

Which equates to €10.49 and €13.98 respectively.

Are setanta offering a cheaper price yet to customers to stay with them or are we still paying full whack?

Interested to see if people have cancelled or are waiting to see what they offer?

    Unless
    1.Your a fan of poker.
2.You like watch repeated matches every 2nd night (GAA/League of Ireland)
    3.You like the Brazilian League
    4.You like Snowboarding
    5.F1 repeats

    I'd cancel

Was on the ESPN website the other day and it doesn't appear to be up and running when I was last on it.

It comes up with a box and you type in your email address etc and they tell you how much the subscription will be etc and that's it. Can't get into the site otherwise.

I'd like to know what kind of games would they be showing.
