Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Motor Insurance - It pays to shop around

I just wanted to share my experience.

My motor insurance is up for renewal. I have 4 years no claims protection. The only claim I had was windscreen. I have myself and my wife on policy. I drive a 1.6 toyota avensis 2002.

The renewal quote with insure.ie was 632.00. When I went onto their website I got the quote cheaper 555.00. I phoned them up and they matched this.

I then contacted 123.ie and got a quote from them. They gave me the same level of cover for 525.30. This has full claims protection. I then decided to contact FBD, they were 800+, Quinn quoted 1420 euros!

The difference in quotes is massive. I was thinking 100-200 but in the case of quite its nearly triple the cheapest quote. It certainly does pay to shop around. Even when you get a quote that looks competitive...
