Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think the focus is a little off and you would need to do a little sharpening to make it crisp. I presume you had this in macro mode somewhere in the 200 - 300 range? The bokeh can be fantastic with this lens (big focal ranges) to the point that you need to make sure that you don't overdo it.

To my eye is looks a little over exposed and would benefit from levels / curves / and-or contrast in post production. This is backed up by the histogram view where you've a little burn out happening at the right hand side (white area). Pull back the image brightness but only a little because that burn area won't move in its tonal range.

It's slightly 'washed out' look - adjustments suggest above should help here. The sigma is known for not being particularly contrasty so be prepared to add in contrast in post processing as required for the future.

It isn't a perfect subject - the decay visible on the right hand side of the petals is actually distracting (to use that clichéd term) but thus this doesn't yield a particularly pleasing composition. It ok, but not great.

Hope that helps. Enjoy the new lens.

Hope you don't mind, but I did a little touching up using Lightroom and CS3 to bring it out a bit more and sharpen the image.

As already stated, I agree that the original appears over exposed & out of focus.
