Get out of the city. Too hot. Drive up to Valberg through some amazing canyons for beautiful alpine walks. Cool clear air.

Get the train to some of the nice towns: Antibes, Ventigmilia, Monte Carlo. Some great scenery and very relaxed.

Get the train to Ventimiglia in Italy, on the return journey get off at Eze and take the little bus up into upper Eze. Its the most fab little medieval village. Theres a direct bus back to Nice.

Also go to Ville Franche sur Mer, only a few minutes on the bus out of Nice

    Monaco (has to be done)

Its a great area, Id go back tmrw:)

I spent 3 fabulous weeks in Cannes this summer. Mougins, Grasse and Biot are a must if you like specialist towns. Mougins specialises in art, Grasse in perfume and Biot in glass. Nice is a fabulous city, not much bigger than Galway. Definitley go to Monaco for a day, Ile Saint Marguerite another. It is said to avoid St. Tropez in peak season, it's just one street that's completley jammers. If possible, visit in August. Day trips to Italy might be another possibility, an hour's train journey. But if you're all of that doesn't interest you, there are miles upon miles of glorious beaches and rip up Rue d'Antibes for the best shopping around. Wait for July and everything, everything goes on sale. Couture can be 40% off, we're talking Hérmes here.
    Have fun!
