Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The 1.9TDI is a noisy lump but very reliable. Apart from that it's a normal Golf. What spec is it?

It will cost more than the feista - but you must have expected that. Even down to having bigger wheels with mean more expensive tires.

Being an 04 - I would guess that it is a mk5 with a 2.0 TDI . Day to day running, it should be pretty cheap. My 03 TDI is doing 40-45 mpg on my drive to and from work these days and I put in about 30 quid of diesel every 2/3 weeks. Nothing much has gone wrong -its a pretty cheap car to run. The biggest expense I had (by far) was the timing belt.

2.0 TDi's in the Mk 5 are few and far between in this country. It's most likely a 1.9. The 2 litre common rail 120bhp only came in as the base model in the Mk6, in the lowest tax band.
