Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd be amazed if Demarcus Beesley is still on the team when the second half starts. He had an absolute mare.

What a great goal! Superb passing play. And I'm chuffed for Maicon, I think he's class. Deserves his spot ahead of Alves.

That Manc lad Raphael won't get that right back position easily with both Dani Alves and Maicon ahead of him in the pecking order

Hes a kid in fairness just like Macheada etc, just cos your at United does not mean you should be in the International side.

Raphael does have one thing going for him though by the time he isnt a kid he will probably be a really good RB not just a class attacking WB.

thats why Maicon should def be ahead of Alves too, Alves is a great attacking WB but Maicon is a much better RB imo.

Yep, Maicon should have done enough to make the RB positon his own - excellent both defensively and in attack.

What do we reckon to Italy-Egypt @ 7.45?

Tempted to lump the weekend beer money on The Italians

Well, the Egyptians have a mountain pyramid to climb after their opening day defeat. Do they have enough guile to break down the steely Italian stalwarts?

I don't think so- Italian win.

personally id much prefer they get that wake up call in Dublin and somehow win tonight with all their old players scoring so they think they dont need Rossi and Co yet

That throws the group wide open.

Looks like RTE haven't got live coverage for Saturday and will be giving us deferred coverage instead. Spain vs South Africa and Iraq vs New Zealand both kick off at 7:30 pm yet RTE will be showing deferred coverage from 9pm.

I can only assume it's because they're showing Mayo vs Roscommon and Kilkenny vs Galway and they don't want a clash, so GAA wins out.

Surely they could at least show it on RTE1 instead or is it too much to ask for "Meet the Robinsons" to be shelved?

nope it ends the group - egypt will beat usa and brazil will beat italy -end of story :)
