Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Italy certainly for the food, and maybe the site-seeing, but after Rome there isn't much.

    Spain for the women.

He's right though! Milan isn't a particularly nice city. I'd have Barcelona over any Italian city but that could be just because I'm biased.

Milan is fairly average if your a poor student (as I was last time I was there) but for the rich it's meant to be fairly great

Blah blah wimminz, blah blah climate, blah blah standard of football, blah blah something else, blah blah money, what? money im listening.....Money talks, Madrid have it, Barca have it. This crap of oh he wants to stay in Spain or go to la liga is bollocks, they go where the money is. Madrid are in a good financial situation and Barca are the most attractive club in the world at the moment, if neither of these clubs want you your prob going to Chelsea/City/United (because YES Spainish clubs in this financial climate will prob pay you more!! shocker its true ) or your staying put for a year. Its not all Spain this Spain that, just works out differently this transfer market so far, Sure Chelsea could Sign Villa/Aguero/Pato/Ribery , who knows, then its not all Spain this Spain that. Take it to the transfer rumours thread :)

Money Money Money, its a rich mans world, footballs becoming that.

    Recession? wat

    Are yous serious?
What about Florence, Venice, Siena, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Capri, Alpine Skiing, Cinque Terre, Lake Como & Garda, Tuscany, Vatican City, Sicily, towns like San Gimignano, Lucca & Cortona, the dolomites. Most people go to Italy cos there's so much famous sites to see, far more than most countries in the world! To say there's nothing to see outside Rome has to be a troll!
Milan isn't fantastic unless you're rich. Put the Duomo in Turin, that's a class city!

Beautiful places they are but what about their football teams? Tbh, I'd agree with you that overall Italy is a nicer country but if you're comparing Madrid and Barcelona with Milan and Turin, Spain wins hands down.

The list could be even longer, Italy is a stunningly beautiful country. Even the unglamorous provincial towns are nice like Pavia and Bergamo. What lets it down majorly for young people is nightlife, where Spain wins hands down. This shouldn't be a factor for a professional footballer, but in Madrid's case, who knows. Just consider Cassano, Robinho etc.

I'd love it if a year from now Ronaldo returns to some club like Bolton a fat, bloated alcoholic mess!
