Blair Hinkle Gets Shown the Bluff
A player in middle position opened the pot for a raise and Blair Hinkle reraised from the small blind for 22,200 more. His opponent made the call.

The flop came out and Hinkle led out for 40,000. His opponent immediately moved all in for 198,000 more.

Hinkle was sent into the tank for a few moments and his opponent called the clock on him. Hinkle seemed both a little surprised and slightly annoyed, as he was not taking an obscene amount of time to act on his hand. Nevertheless, a floorperson is called over and Hinkle is given a 60-second countdown.

With ten seconds left to go, Hinkle released his hand. His opponent then slammed his down to the felt, saying in an Irish accent, "That's how we do it in Ireland, boys!"

I hope this wasn't you nic, or anyone I know for tht matter, unreal cringeworthy

That couldve been any bleedin yank..sure they all think der irish...but if it waqs one of our guys it was defo vesty....get in lol

Top bloke he is and if it was him who said it then it would be hilarious. He's a very funny guy.

Ive heard the name, i dont know him or havent played with him though, i dont mean showing the bluff is bad obviously but calling the clock on someone straightaway in a huge pot in the Main Event is an angleshoot imo regardless of who did it.

It sounds like something Vesty would do alright, and he wouldn't mean it in an arrogant dick-head manner either. He's a good guy. The thing is though, he seems to have been low-stacked for the last couple of days and I don't think he was over 200K at all, so that would rule him out for this antic.

Edit to add: Forgot to say, best of lucky Nicky!

Maybe it was hilarious even though it mightn't have been him who said it. Maybe whoever said it didn't mean it in an arrogant dick-head manner. Bit harsh to judge them without any context but then again, this is the internet!

just checked my slip there and I forgot to put my count, you fill out details at the end of play and a copy goes in a bag that you seal and copy to dealer and yourself. Sure I wrote the amount bag anyway, so just a slight oversight, shouldnt be a problem.

Don't worry about it Nicky. If you have any issues just refer to the Eric Cloutier incident. He added an extra zero!!
