Okay so heres the story so far!!:D

    From Dianne‏

    Hello,

Good day! I am Miss Dianne Blou, the only daughter of late Dr Jean-Quassi Blou.I
was before the death of my father,a medical student of the university of
Abidjan,Cote d Ivoire. My fathers death has caused me a lot of set-backs
academically.Since he died, I have been with my uncles but they have made thing to
be more difficult for me because of their eyes on my late father’s properties. They
even stopped paying for my school fees that made me to stop schooling.
Before the death of my father, he has USD9.5 M Nine million, five hundred thousand
dollars in a fixed deposit account in my country which I am the next of kin. After
his burial, i approached the bank director where the money was deposited to find
out how i can have access to the money but was told precisely by the director that
my father signed an agreement with them that requires me to present to the bank a
guardian who must be of foriegn origin to stand on my behalf for the claim or be
released to me at the age of 28 years or above.I don't want to stay here anymore
as my security here can not be guaranteed.

I humbly need your assistance to help get this money transferred to your account,
to serve as my guardian and to make an arrangement for me to come over after the
fund is transferred, also to look for a good venture where the money will be
invested. If you are willing to help me kindly get back to me.
Please do keep this to yourself.I plead with you not to disclose it to anybody
untill the money is transfered and you bring me over to your country. I am willing
to offer you 25% of the total sum as compensation for your effort.

    Sincerely,
    Dianne.

    FROM ME

wow I can't believe my luck ,sorry i mean how unfortunate for you.I'm very sorry to hear about your late fathers death it must have been a terrible time for you.
I would love to help you any way possible. Just let me know how i can be of help.
Are you hot by the way??
    Yours sincerely
    Joe Bloggs.

    FROM DIANNE

Thanks so much for your reply and your concern over the death of my father.Although i must tell you that your reply doesn't sound serious but i'm sending you my details believing and hoping that you will come to my assistance.

I have sufferd a lot since the death of my father.I don't know how to explain things for you to understand but my wish is for you to come to my country Cote d‘Ivoire (Formally Ivory coast) to see things by yourself because seeing is believing and that will afford us the opportunity to see each other.

You are free to ask me any question as far as this fund is concerned. My father
acquired his wealth legitimately. It was because of the agreement he had with the bank that made it impossible for me to have access to the fund hence my contacting you for assistance.I have been living in a church guest house where my feeding is on charity but that is not my pressing problem. All i need is for the money to be transferd to your safe foriegn account and you bring me over so that i can continue with my studies and start a new life.

I want us to work with one faith and understanding so that we can achieve the
purpose for which I contacted you. If you eventually choose to help me,I want you to write me back with the following information's

    (1) Your full name, Phone number and country of origin (2) Are you married, if
yes, with kids? (3) What do you do for a living (4) A copy of your photograph to
have an idea whom i am dealing with.I have attached my photo and I.D for your
    attention.

This information’s will be used by me to notify the bank about you as a credible
person that will be helping me with the inheritance claim. After the submiting of
your details, I will then send you the bank documents and contacts so that you
will contact the bank officially as my foreign guardian of trust.

Note: Please if you decide to help me, let it be from the bottom of your heart. It is not a must for you to assist me so if you don't want, let me know.I will understand.

    Have a nice day

    Sincerely
    Dianne

    FROM ME

    Dear Dianne,

Things must be awful for you and I wish to help you anyway possible.
Firstly I would love to visit you in Cote d‘Ivoire, is that in France??
I'm sure I could arrange a visit soon!

This bank you talk of sounds very unresonable , maybe if you give me a telephone
number for them I could call them and try to resolve the problem, what do you think?

    (1) my full name is Richard Kavanagh ,my friends like to call me Richie.
    (2) No i'm not married i'm afraid, love has been cruel to me in the past!
    (3) I'm a singer, I sing some very popular songs such as The Mobile Phone, Mickey's Buckin' Ass and Pussy Pussy Cat.I'd love to sing
    a song for you someday??
    (4) check attachments for my photo , I'm the handsome devil in the middle!

I await your response Dianne, don't worry anymore I'm certain I can help you,
    yours sincerely
    "Richie".

I also lolled at the "are you hot?" comment.

The use of Richie Kavanagh was impressive.

This has the potential for greatness, depending on how Boards gets involved.

i got a similar email from a lady known as beta walsh. she reckons she desperately needs my help. she promised me 20% of 8,500,000 if i helped her open an account and organise a way for her to get into my country.

if i had that much money, i wouldn't need anyone's help!
    annoying emails...

At what point is this going to be a scam tho? I can't really see why shes going to ask for your bank details or credit card number or anything? And even if she does ask for your bank account details, what the fook can she do with your bank account number and swift code?

And you thought Cote d'Ivoire was in France? Dude come on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 293 ✭✭Kavs

JEEZ Steoob come on,lighten up would ya.
It was a former colony of France thought i might rub some salt on the wound ya know.
The advice about asking for some money for the flight sounds brilliant, duely noted!!

I believe normal practice is to request a sum of money which is required to release the funds from the bank account.
