tbh why are you going if you only like about 3 people?

The opportunity to see new bands would be my guess.

    Camera Obscura
    Florence and the Machine
    Regina Spektor

In fairness I'd say most of the people there will only know the headliners...

What a totally useless comment. Do you even understand the concept of this thread?

It was just in reply to this kind of thing:

And I've already make my recommendations, so I do understand the concept, yes.

I reckon The Brilliant Things will do well, playing on the main stage at the start after the Artane Band

Have seen them around a few times and also been on the radio a god bit lately. Loving their new song "Rise"

I'd definitely go check out the gaslight album first thing on Saturday...

White Lies might also be worth checking out, that song Death is a great festival tune!

I'd probably pass out if I heard that Death song. Until my own dying day it will remind me of the worst parts of doing the Leaving Cert. It's a shame too because it's a really good song.

As for dark horses and hidden gems, I'd definitely recommend God is an Astronaut. I caught the end of their set last year. Unbelievable stuff.

The 2 bands I really wanna see are Mogwai and Fred, but they've only been mentioned once each. They are both fantastic!

I would absolutely love to be going on Sunday just to catch the Noisettes. Yes, they make chirpy and cheerful pop music but that doesn't mean it's less important. I'd recommend just letting yer hair down and dancing to this, folks! :D

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4dSEyaT6R8

Their second album is called 'Wild Young Hearts'. Great little tunes are Never Forget You, So Complicated, Don't Upset the Rhythm (Go Baby Go), Cheap Kicks. Undoubtedly you can hear Ms Winehouse on the posted tune. I've watched a few live clips on youtube too and I think they'll be a delight. Check the m out. Really wish I was but I have other obligations this Sunday :(:(

they didn't put the IMRO new sounds stage on the poster, this is the lineup for that:

Friday 10th July: David Kitt, Heathers, The Joy Formidable, The Flaws, Yes Cadets, The Mighty Stef, Cashier No. 9, Ruth Anne Cunningham, The Brilliant Things, Home Star Runner, Stone Motion.

Saturday 11th July: Director, General Fiasco, St Vincent, Codes, And So I Watch You From Afar, Cap Pas Cap, Joe Echo, Nightbox, Angel Pier, Carosel, Jenna Toro

Sunday 12th July: Villagers, Wintersleep, Broken Records, Concerto For Constantine, Dark Room Notes, Blood Or Whiskey, The Chakras, The Jades, Andrew Hozier Byrne, Bone

People will probably have a lot of opinions on which of those to see but you can't miss Heathers, they're amazing. And So I Watch You From Afar and Villagers are also two to defo check out. I've heard good things about St Vincent too.

Out of the other stages, probably NIN, Mars Volta, Pendulum, Passion Pit, M83, Of Montreal, MSTRKRFT (though I hear the new album isn't as good as the great debut), Little Boots, God Is An Astronaut. I'd also check out Foals and Maximo Park.

About MCD, this is the thread I read: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055578947
Check out as i watch you from afar. Very alternitave but there music is class and they allways give it 110%

I'm a huge fan of the White Lies, but I seen them live at Slane and they were pure muck.;)

Outside of the main stage, I'd recommend:
    Pendulum
    Deadmau5
    Boys Noize
    Bloody Beetroots
    Friendly Fires
    Foals
