Gamer Tag Thread II

I ran this by Blitzkrieg and Kinetic^ last night, and they were OK with it.

The Gamer Tag thread at the top of the forum is a bit past it sell-by date (its over 5 years old now, most of the games on the first few pages are from the original xbox, and looking at the sigs, many people have changed gamertags in the last few years).

I think a reboot of the thread might get the competitive juices flowing in this forum (and allow people to update their friends list with active gamers)....

Here are the rules for the new list:

• Rather than write down a big list of games you are currently playing (which will be out of date in 2 months), use a site like www.mygamercard.net to create a graphical representation of your tag, and the games you are playing (instructions and alternative sites can be found below). At a glance, you can see what games people are currently playing. If you're looking for a game of COD4, just look down through the images and see if you can see a COD4 logo in someone's tag, and send them an invitation.
• The site you use should give instructions on what code to use to get your the gamertag image to appear properly on a bulletin board. If they don't, simply use the Insert Image button () here on boards to directly insert your image into a post.
• No chat! Just post the images...

Thats all there is to it. Some sites you can use to generate a tag are:

www.xbox360achievements.org

The easiest one to use is www.mygamercard.net. You don't even need to create an account.

1. Go to www.mygamercard.net
2. On the front screen, enter your gamertag, language and theme.
3. Click on the "Forums (Image)" tab below to preview the tag, and grab the BBcode to post here.

Thats it.... start posting!

Edit: When posting, you can UNTICK "Show your Signature" to stop images from doubling up!!


Update - June 23rd: To view all "Friends" listed on this thread, I've set up a gamertag called BoardsGamers. Anyone who posts their gamertag on this thread will get a Friend invitation from BoardsGamers. Then just follow the steps below - this is much quicker than creating invites manually....

1. Once you've accepted the BoardsGamers invite, press the guide button on your xbox.
2. Select "Friends".
3. Find BoardsGamers and select it (A button)
4. Press Right on your controller to switch to "Personal Profile" tab.
5. Select "View Friends".
6. Find someone you want to be friends with, select them and "Send Friend Request".
7. Hit the back (B) button, and Repeat Step 6 for anyone else you want to be friends with.
