Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ford Focus Tyres

After a service a while back the Ford Dealer advised me to get new tyres. I'm a bit wary of garages telling me I should get things - usually just looking to make an extra buck. The threads are fine for the time being on the back but I've decided to get new ones for the front. I've never bought tyres before so I'm looking for a bit of advice. Off the top of my head I think the size is 195/55/15. Where would the best place to get these be in South Dublin?
I'm stuck in work most days so I was looking at Fastfit.ie - Are these reasonable value. Seem pricey enough. I assume the cost quoted includes labour. The Ford Garage quoted me 75 per tyre which I assume does not include labour. If I popped around to a local garage how long do tyre changes usually take?

It's not the biggest dilemma in history of motoring but advice is appreciated.

The best thing to do is get out the goldenpages and ring around the various tyre centres to compare prices. Should take no more than 1 hour to change 4 tyres.

Best go for a middle of the range tyre rather than those cheap Chinese/Korean junk.
