    Minor trimming done on the icon now. No more fuzzy border on the top and the left.

    Browsers tend to hang on for dear life and cache favicons like crazy so you may need to jump through some hoops to force the new one to appear.

    It's more like Faceboards every day. I load up my PC as normal, jumped into firefox. Load up my list of subbed forums and recent threads and opened everything in new tabs.

    I then looked at my tab list and it took me about a minute to realise where the boards ones had gone.

    I liked the old icon better. .. .. dam faceboards ... Aprils Fools Day my arse ... it was a feckin beta!

    Home PC, firefox, - software not updated in 12mth - homepage has new icon?

    What am I doing wrong?

    You're doing nothing wrong. Web browsers can sometimes hold on to old versions of favicon.ico for quite a while.

    Your browser will update it in time. If it's bothering you, you can try holding down shift while clicking refresh. If that doesn't do it, try emptying your cache.

    That's AOL talk. Boards is all about independent thought, facebook is all about having as many friends as possible. The day boards becomes facebook is the day I stop posting on boards, and I'm not alone in thinking that.

    lol...Oh for GOD'S SAKE people.... Scroll up to our logo and see, there it is in it as the "O" in Boards. Thats been there since before Facearse was a twinkle in someone's eye.

    The old favicon not only had the eyes the wrong way around, it was hand drawn quickly and always looked to me like evil eyes in the darkness.

    I cant believe there are two separate threads about this, lol...

    ps: we'll take from Facebook and any other site, things we think are good and replicate them here. I'm not a huge fan of social networks (ironic or what) but they have some neat tools and occasional good ideas. I'll judge those on their merits for what we want to do, which as Johnny points out, is independant thought, discussion and debate.
