looking for cheap broadband/phone

my sister in law is looking to get online. she currently has no phone line at home and wants to get conected to the internet. what is the best deals about? she was quoted 25euro per month for line rental with eircom, plus a further 25 euro for broadband per month

Does she have Ntl/Upc? http://www.upc.ie/

If its available in her area, then its probably the best/cheapest option as you wont have to pay for line rental.


Their is also the easy option of a wireless modem from 3/o2/ vodafone/meteor. They are not good as a cable/dsl connection but can be fine for browsing and email usage. Doesnt require any setup, and not confined to one area.

she is in carrickmacross co monaghan, living in the countryside. no ntl, etc. and the vodafone broadband wont work in her area
