I saw a poster today for a "bar boot sale" in Bierhaus on Sunday, with some proceeds to XXX (can't remember what it was).

The poster said to see their web-site for details, but it's a bit skimpy on actual detail.

So, does anyone know what it's about? Is it just he bar selling stuff, or is it open to any sellers?

With a recession in full swing, I think it's about time we take control and turn this thing around to our advantage. And what better way to do that than earn a buck while enjoying premium bevvies, tunes and company in Galway's finest boozer. So, here's the heads up on some car-boot sale action, without the car-boot, that we run in Bierhaus.

Basically, we all have some cool (and not so cool) stuff in our possession that we may not be using anymore, for whatever reason. Stuff that is too good to give away. Stuff that you would be happy to part with if you got a couple of bob for it. Stuff that other people would be happy to buy at a good price. One mans trash, another mans treasure, and all that...

Be it records, clothes, CD's, shoes, books, DVD's, whatever, bring it along and see if someone will barter you for it. E-bay without the fuss. No uploading pictures, answering silly questions, posting, credit cards etc. Just good, clean bargains.

Places are limited so booking in advance is recommended. The tax is 10euro for your space but every penny you make from sales is all your own. Feel free to join forces and share the space with friends.

Admission is free for buyers and browsers and all are welcome.

    Spread the word!

All stalls are booked out now. We are donating stall money and contributions to Enable Ireland.
Everyone is welcome to come along on the day and enjoy themselves. There will be vintage clothing, retro jewellery, vinyl records, original prints and artwork, face-painting, personalised x-mas gifts and cards, baked treats...and much more.
