    Boards will survive as long as Boards deserves to survive. I would like to build something that outlasts me. Something worthwhile. A sort of perpetual motion machine which pays for itself, supports itself, moderates itself and maintains itself. So far so good, we've achieved a lot of what I would have wanted. Its taken almost 10 years but as I said recently, real revolutions dont happen in days they happen in decades. They arent led by individuals, they are driven by populations.

    For those who have been on the internet for ages, consider this: they closed Geocities last month permanently. "The lone and level sands stretch far away."

    In relation to dying i believe taken the bbv from poker is like boards.ie been diagnoised with cancer at an early stage can be cured.

    Yea but his Rome died. Only to be carried on in another form and influencing others. I would suspect the same of Boards. It will likely go on. It's got the wind behind it now. It won't be the same boards in 10 years time, but it wasn't the same Boards 10 years ago. And that's a good thing IMHO.

    I disagree. That thread is a cancer on the site. Removing it is akin to chemo. So boards will go bald for a bit but come back bigger and stronger

    We'll see about that, I don't agree though. I think you might find another Irish forum cropping up and becoming successful with all the rubbish thats gone on here lately.

    Oh and just on that numbers thread. How dumb is somebody that they feel they will lose count. The post number is the count ffs.
