It probobly just a message that shows after a pre determined time, regardless of wheteher an update is available or not.

Well I'm using a medion with maps from 2007 and they are badly out of date. so if there's any way to download the newer ones(assuming there are any) or even torrent them and anyone can tell us how that would be great.

I am trying to update my medion sat nav 4.00. To 2008 maps as the maps I have are very much out of date. I am email them at the moment but every time they reply, I follow their instruction but still it hasn't updated fully. I got the following email.

    Dear Mr. Herr xxxxxx,

I think that the download was successful but that the synchronization was not successful. Please check whether the maps in the GoPal Assistant have been downloaded correctly. Open the GoPal Assistant and click on the left hand side on Library ->Maps. Here, you can find your downloaded maps.

If you click on them, they turn green and show the ->quartal of the maps in a small window. If quartal 2/08 is displayed than everything has been downloaded correctly. ............. more instructions...........

I will keep you posted  sad Sat Nav user
