Well, it looks like the Coast in Skerries has shut down. Wasn't open at all this week and I asked in another pub and they thought it had shut.

Too bad, the place had been recently refurbished at great expense and was fairly busy (so I thought). Good food too.

Edit - Harvey's Restaurant, part of the same complex, is closed too.

Maybe they'll open earlier to cater for the former Coast Bar customers?

Darn tootin'. Terry would have the doors open at 10:30 on the button. While it is a sad state of affairs for all the staff & the owners, I particularly feel for Terry. I've known him practically all my life & he was one hell of a barman. I sincerely hope that one of the other bars takes him on.

10.30 was late, some mornings would have had 2 or 3 pints by then :D. Terry Woods is a gentleman and always has a smile.

Thats a shame. The place seemed to die a bit after they did it up.

Thats a fair few pubs in Skerries gone lately.

    The Coast
    Tommys
    O'Sheas
    Cuba

AFAIK the last two have been rebranded though.

The Coast is the only one that's gone.
Tommy's became Papparazi & still has a licence AFAIK.
    O'Shea's is Finnegan's now I think & Cuba is is Ollie's.
Only one gone out of those four.

Fair enough, what I meant was that there has been a lot of the prominent pubs in Skerries that have changed from their well known and fairly busy heydays (well apart from Cuba which seemed to have been a bit of a flop, although Ollie's does seem to be doing fairly now)
