I think he gives his tips on Thursday mornings and someone (not me) said they'll try to keep this thread updated in a timely manner.
This site give some very good tips; the higher the points they assign to a tip the more they fancy it coming in.

Just wondering- did he say that he thinks Tiger is hot, hot favorite or that it's open?

I can't remember him mentioning Woods at all but I could be wrong. Maybe someone could confirm whether they heard it or not.

Should have been on the 9/4 that was available earlier this week.

I know a good bet is a good bet but I just couldn't justify tying up funds for the entire season for such a short priced gamble. Given the tough competition in the EPL I'd sooner lay Arsenal playing away up north for the same price.

I actually like these long term investments. Also gives a chance to lay off depending on how things go.
Worked for me with Utd last year.

Has anyone done the maths and seen if he's up or down since he started?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Boxfresh

I've just checked the today fm website and his profit since the start of the year is €950 on august 13th from a starting bank of €1000, so with this weeks winnings added onto it, it brings it to €1072.50
    Not bad going!

There is no log though, i'd be sceptical.

It's not something they'd lie about really. He had €20 each way on a 50/1 shot golfer only a few weeks ago so I don't see why he wouldn't be in profit.

€200 on the All Ireland Final.
    Killenny v Tipperary to Draw @ 10/1

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,978 ✭✭✭✭mike65

10/1 for a GAA match involving Kilkenny drawing? Sounds like terrible value

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Boxfresh

You're right Mike its pretty bad. He always uses PP odds I think. If anyone is considering this bet. Betfair are offering the draw at over 15/1 at the moment.

John also tipped Tipperary to win the all Ireland away back at the start of the campaign at I think was 8 or 10/1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,853 ✭✭✭glanman

Cashmans have 14/1 on the draw.

GAA games are normally 7s or 8s, 14 is mad! Handicap in cashmans is tipp +3, 5/4

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 106 ✭✭JW91

In my opinion the best bet for this match is for over 44.5 points to be scored in the game. It's available at 5/6. This looks to be great value when you see the calibre of forwards that both teams have.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,848 ✭✭✭soundsham

    14/1 on betfair too
hurling games are often 10/1 or higher
football normally under 9's e.g. cork kerry 8.8 on betfair

as regards total points, half time fulltime bets........my advice is please wait till the day to see what the conditions are, or even if you can see who has the wind in the 1st half as this may not affect your ft result but should be taken on board for ht's imo,try to give yourself the edge not the bookie

bit silly to lump on total points @10/11 now for 44 or whatever it is,
if tis bucketing down on sunday you could knock 4 or 5 pts off it easy

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,361 ✭✭✭Itsdacraic

If I'm not mistaken John Duggan tipped the draw for last years final as well.

I have a seriously good value bet for Sunday.
