Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's just RealBeers.ie, AFAIK, and I've never seen any of the Montieth's range in Ireland.

Ireland's good beer off licences are the green pins on this map.

    Plus the supermarkets, of course.

Is it just me or are realbears.ie frightfully over priced ...

I would of thought that an online shop expecting some one to buy full cases of beer to offer a decent discont in comparison to the high street offies

Example Case of Leffe Blond (x24), 62Euro + 7Euro for p&p = 69Euro or €2.88 per bottle ... this can be bought in any offie 4 for 8Euro or 2Euro a bottle and you don't have to go to the trouble of buying a full case. Further I'm sure if you bought a full case a nice Offie owner might give you a little discount.

Now I know people are going to say they totally specialise in beer and you'll get a better selection for your trouble but come on that is daylight robbery and no justification can be placed for that much of a over priced product. All their other beers seem very weighty in price too. ANd if they were any good they would do up mixed cases to order.

I for one will not be shopping there.

Try beerangel.com not as comprehensive but I got 21 Wheat bears for an averqage of 2.38 a bottle including 24.50 postage from Germany  . Now if realbear.ie could get with the real world I would be delighted to give them my business for a slight premium.

Looks good. What's the story with excise duty and VAT?
