Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Driving test and NCT query

So im told that there is a huge backlog on the NCT centres at the moment what with the recent law that came in, so are the driving test centres allowing any leeway on having the NCT disc when sitting your test?

For example, i would like to do my test in my punto, an i have had it looked over by a mechanic, and he says that the only thing wrong with the car is that its missing a nut on the wheel bearing? Anyway, he is most probably right, as the car is in immaculate condition, and only has 80000 miles on it. Unfortunately, my NCTT expired at the end of last month? can i get like a mechanics note to say the car is in perfect condition or something?

You have to have a valid NCT cert to sit the driving test and I don't think that they're going to give any leeway on that.

If your NCT is expired and you can't get a new one in time, then you''' lhave to arrange to sit the test in another car with a valid NCT.

do the NCT have anything like the driving test where you tell them you need to drive for work and they bump you up the listing?

I need to get it all done by august before my insurance is up :(

Cancellations appear regularly on the NCT system - you need to check online everyday or ring them everyday. There's a fair chance you will get lucky.
