Who we shouting for today? It goes against my very soul but it has to be a chelsea win. Look upwards I say...

My head says Arsenal, but my heart says Chelsea. Draw would be best i'd say.

Bar a pitch sized sinkhole opening up I think Chelsea/draw I'd be happy. I'm past being concerned about Chelsea at this stage

Yupp have to go for a Chelsea win all the way, they are an irrelevance to us now.

Chelsea win is a great result.

    2 points off second place.
2 off Arsenal with a better goal difference.
    5 off first.
    5 ahead of 5th.

Perfect weekend, if we'd beaten Leicester 11 days ago we'd be top now

That's actually frightening to see how close we are. If we maximise the points available before the city game I'll start to become very excited...

How were there 72 shots on target, with only 19 goals conceded and 27 saves made? What happened with the other 26 shots?

Either way, i like any stats that have us placed first (in a positive way).

I doubt keeper sweepings means saves.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,176 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

Yeah, not sure what i was thinking. Thought that was keeper saves for some reason. I blame Monday.

    Vertongehens injury.....

    Lloris

    Walker - Dier - Toby - Rose.

    Dembele - Bentaleb/Mason/Carroll

    Lamela / Son / Chadli - Alli - Eriksen

    Kane

Wimmer may play CB against Colchester, Norwich and Watford at Home though..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,433 ✭✭✭NomadicGray

    I'd like to see
    Son-Alli-Chadli
behind kane, I don't think eriksen on the left has been much use lately

Is Wimmer left footed? If so, I think he'd be more of a natural replacement for Vetonghen. Leaving Dier in midfield.

Lets not forget, we bought a good centre back in Wimmer. Cologne had brilliant defensive record with him in there. And, to his credit, he hasn't looked bad any time he's played.

Who knows, maybe Vertonghen will struggle to get back in?!

He'll start Wimmer. Dier is too important to our game plan to be played there unless we are stuck or resting players.

As above, Wimmer has looked good when i've seen him (which isn't much to be fair). Obviously, losing the partnership between Verts and Alderweireld (i can never remember how to spell his name) is a blow, but we have to hope that Wimmer is good enough to slot in.

We've been here before lads. - ahead of arsenal in the league with 10-15 games to go and then they go on a great run and we end up with egg on our faces.

Make no mistake, they will go on a run and they will finish strong. Almost every year they do it.

On a side note Chelsea earned a valiant point I'm their bid to fight relegation :)
