    Patrick Kohlmann?

He played for Borussia Dortmund against Kaiserslautern in 2004 (just checked wikipedia), and he has 5 caps for the U21's.

Yep, he was last with Union Berlin, who were promoted to second division this season, not sure if he's still there. German born though, wonder who was the last Irish born???

Tim Pilkington has played for the Irish U16's and was on the books of SC Freiburg; was born in New Zealand. Joe Kendrick was born in Ireland and was on the books of 1860 Munich a few years back but dont think he played for them.

Noel Campbell is the only player to earn full Irish caps while playing in Germany. He had once season in the Bundesliga with Fortuna Koln (rest played in lower league)

At the time he was the first Irish born player to play in top level football in Continental Europe, and he's the only Irish born player to play in the Bundesliga
