Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Grinding noise quiz???

I'm messing around with a 91 fiat punto. I must have some bad karma. Car has been lying because of grinding noise. Who wants to hazard a guess at the source of the noise. Im going to tear it apart to find the problem and fix it if its worth it. So lets see who gets it right. Some more details. Lery low milage 27k. Oil…

Car has been lying because of grinding noise. Who wants to hazard a guess at the source of the noise. Im going to tear it apart to find the problem and fix it if its worth it. So lets see who gets it right.

Some more details. Lery low milage 27k. Oil looks fine. Better than whats in my real car! Car goes into gear and drives but seems to grind more when moving. Does grind a little when in neutal. car was lying for long time but started first time.

Go on have a guess....

Punto wasn't out in 91

does the grinding increase with engine revs, does it stop once the car gets up to temperature?

Is the noise from near the front or the back of engine bay? From low down or high up?
