Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,

Just wondering if anybody has any experiences with buying software on eBay and the likes. I need to purchase Adobe CS4 suite and it's half price on eBay. (1,999 euros directly from adobe?)

    What's the catch?

    cheers!

Most of the software on ebay is pirate. Example: selling software for €60 that'd normally cost €900. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Sure, it'll work, but updates will probably cause it to cease working. And what's the point of paying someone €60 for pirate software? You loose €60, and you may get in trouble if an audit is carried out on the software you own.

I was thinking of buying s/w on ebay also but it would be an old version of an Adobe product. I obviously want a licensed copy so would only purchase that if possible and I would be reporting illegal s/w.

So is there a catch in that?
