, but Simon himself admitted that he thought J&E were gone when he sent it to deadlock. But I think he is secretly happy that J&E are still there and Lucie is gone, she was a bigger threat to him than J&E.

    .

That's way he is saying, but it's clear it's a lie. He knew well the vote before he put it to the vote. He wants the twins to remain, They are the sellers

Yes, but that's the whole contrived and staged part of the show. Simon knows that HE couldn't sign them, because that would be obvioulsy staged, so what does he do? Yes, gives the groups to Louis knowing that the PUBLIC will swallow the whole, Louis always gives the Irish the nod.

That way, the twins get in, and he can make out that he doesn't rate them, generate loads of publicity and stay in the background until he is then FORCED to save them. This isn't conspiracy, it's X Factor.

Yeh but by saying different things are staged on the X Factor you could say anything. I could say it was staged for louis not to say anything to make it more dramatic!
Anything or nothing could be staged I cant say anything else because once you believe some of that goes on in the show, well you can take nothing to be genuine.

Holly and Dermot need to stop having a cut off the lads - the way Dermot said to be going up again the lads and Holly opening with the head in your hands thing. Louis I thought was gracious to Lucie as well when she was coming out to sing, and in his comments.

Actually I thought Dermot stuck up for the lads again this week saying they were only kids and the audience need to cut them a break, least he is better then that condesending Bitch Holly, I really hope this is her last season doing the Xtra factor!

Seriously? She is so forced and faked that she is looking slower each week.

The whole Stacey thing annoys me tbh. So put on,or at the very least, exaggerated.

I think they should get rid of this deadlock thingy by only having 3 judges.

And no mentors so there's no bias. Let Yvie (eevie, whatever) choose the songs for them.

Dead right. I think ANYTHING is possible to claim as fake and staged, but some things, like what I pointed out do hold more water

The whole Loius and being Irish and the twins being Irish was just too convenient. I knew well he would have them in his act, not because he thinks they are good, but because it's X factor and him and Simon worked together to create the hysteria and hype with J&E. And, credit to those young lads, they are tops, and really decent fellas.

Really - what is the point in performing well in the sing off if it is not taken into account. Simon is conveniently the last to choose leaving him with almost a deciding vote.

eh not really. I didn't have a clue, same with many people!

Ha,I'm just waiting to hear that 50,000 people complained to Ofcom about Louis giving the fingers to the audience. The ~*~*~controversy!

    Go Louis! :D

Is it just me, or do Jedward fans seem to be the most defensive? :P

lol! And I'm a jedward fan! In fairness I don't think Danni went over board tonight. I think she's quite genuine about her acts and probably got a bit emotional when Lucie went. I'd say her and Louis are steaming now that Simon has all three acts left so hopefully they'll work together from here on in! :D:D:D

I had a clue, the clue was Simon. He put it to vote, knowing in advance that it was Lucie getting the boot, and to be honest, Cheryl probably knew too, and voted the lads off to make it more genuine and believable

the lads would have been better off getting voted out there....the public seem to be baying for their blood. god knows what the press will make of this...they've gone from being the two that everyone likes/at least laughs along with etc....now they will be demonized until they get knocked out. it's very cruel to watch all those people booing/danni and holly sticking the knife in/even the contestents having goes at them.

I'm starting to feel so bad for them. They're being hyped up and used in Cowell's money making machine. Just pawns in his game, villainized by the media and hated & slated by most of the public. It really is sick.

What's the general consensus here on Louis' attitude towards them? Are they a flavour of the month? Will he market them here or will he drop them after the show? If he does then what was the point in them entering? They might end up with the short end of the stick here. Chewed up and spat out.

It's bittersweet really for them, the highs come with massive lows. As they demonstrated with their near tears and guilty looks, (not helped by that bitch Dannii and the presenters)... they can't even enjoy their success. :(

Their parents should pull them out but they're under contract to the show.

Holly has turned into a stirring, two faced faker. I've gone off her completely. When the twins leave I'm not watching anymore.

Although by watching am I contributing to this craziness? It's hard being a Jedward fan. A little bit of "if you love them let them go" conflict going on  haha

    Gullibility test:

Does anyone really believe that Simon thought the vote would boot out the twins?

He was actually trying to claim this. It's completely illogical. If he did, why bother going to the vote, he should have simply voted the twins off.

He wants the twins in and its not for money - as least directly.

    * He knows ALL the papers are going to be stating what happened tonight.
That means more MASSIVE publicity. Wait till tomorrow and see...
    * On top of that he knows he is the man that people just love to hate.
Hell - he has just given them more reason to do so! Thats means he gets more influential and powerful in media terms.
    * If viewing figures go up so does the ad revenue - and the TV stations are going to love him for that ( -> more dosh!)
    * He knows the boys won't win. They can't. The lucie voters will swap their alliegence over to other better SINGING acts as will other future losers voters. Those switching allegiance will gang up on the boys to get rid of them eventually - but while Jedward are there, well see above...

Olly I'd say now is a safe bet to win.

It confused the fcuk out of me how Lloyd is still there.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jedward didn't actually have few enough votes to be in the bottom two and that they were just placed there for the controversy.

    Meh, it's entertaining.

Yeh.. I dunno I prefer to think of it as being all genuine. Repeating myself but once you start to think they are staging some of it, you just cant trust/enjoy the show. Even if that is completely unrealsitic, just my opinion...

Really feel for John and Edward though. They are the innocent guys in this. Each week they stay on, more and more people hate them. The only thing I though of if they left, atleast the haters would die down before long :\

Well for me, she is the one I would like most to win. For me, she is the most likeable.

But I do think that the standard is very poor this year, and I'm near certain that the twins will win, and fair enough, they actually deserve it at this point! lol

Simon said they are recording a charity record next week, I wonder what the twins will sound like when they are professionally produced, probably alot better then Hairy Cheryl Cole :)

I'm so happy the Jedward live to fight another day. They are so entertaining, you never know what they're going to do next!

I'm also happy that they got through as they wiped the smug look off Lucie's face. Before the sing off she really thought she was guaranteed to be saved by the judges because it was Jedward that she was up against, I felt she had a real cocky look about her.

On another not, does anyone else think Jedwards singing of Rock DJ was the most they've ever been in tune? Thought they were great!

Hope they can come up with another good save song as unfortunately I think they'll have to do it again.

...that condesending Bitch Holly, I really hope this is her last season doing the Xtra factor!

It is, she has stated this herself. She is concentrating on her morning show.
    Good riddance!

Louie played his comments JUST right - think about it.
He knows they were NOT the better singers - just good entertainers.
    But he WOULDN'T say that.
He wisely picked to compliment Lucie while understandably saying that he supported his own and Lucie clearly understood that.

lol I have never seen over 40 pages of posts on Boards after an X Factor show! lol JEdward in the bottom 2 has caused such controversy!

I for one am a huge fan of JEdward, they are great!! The others are just so boring and irrelevant this year - there is nobody on the show that I actually think is talented. Last yr there was so many good acts on the X Factor, this year there is nobody apart from John and Edward. They rock! They are just out there having fun. I feel so bad for them because they are getting such bad press. It's not fair :( It's not their fault that they are still in the competition - all they did was audition for the X Factor! The judges put them through and now the public are voting them in each week.

Ugh being in the bottom 2 with Lucie was horrible - I was convinced Simon would vote them off (I'm not a Lucie fan btw, her voice annoys me). I was so thrilled when Simon said it would go to deadlock and then when I heard that Lucie was going home, oh I was jumping and screaming around the room with glee!!!!!!

Come on John and Edward, onto the final now boys! Ye legends!! :D X Factor would just be so bland without them!

+1 on getting rid of the deadlock. Its such a waste of time and an easy way for the judges to get out of making tough decisions!

Whereas I am of the opinion that it should be completely down to the public vote.

    Can't please everyone I suppose!

Just shows the people with phones in Britian are idiots. People are topping polls one week, in bottom 2 the next. Then when an act does good they're in the bottom 2 and terrible ones are getting through... It's crazy!

Does anyone know next weeks theme? Last year they were very quick to announce it.
