Now there is absolutely nothing "original" about that version...wonder if Simon will point that out for Joe.

    Simon singing along too.

I'm a bit ... underwhelmed by Joe this evening.

Sure he can sing, I just thought it was..."meh"

Joe was a very chubby 16 year old wasn't he?

Simon's comment to Cheryl was quality, I thought. :D

I wouldn't be surprised if Cowell had prior knowledge of him but told him to sort his image out and then go for X Factor.

Christ... X-Factor didn't seem this drab and boring last year!

I'm actually looking forward to seeing John & Edward at this point.

Ah joe is so sweet. I'm looking forward to simon's reaction to john and edward:)

Rachel....hm, good. But I kind of had to agree with Simon. They could have given her a MUCH better, much stronger song, and she would have rocked it.

Joe..I am actually falling in love with him, he is really good, and his performance tonight was note perfect.

One thing about Joe though....For some reason, he reminds me a lot of Gareth Gates

I hope he doesn't lay into J&E. I couldn't bear them originally but felt a bit sorry for them last week:(.

    Eoghan Quigg = consistently decent.

    Joe McElderry = consistently good.

So it's hard to fault him even if I have no time for his brand of music.

I want John and Edward through next week too.
    But Joe was just Wow!!

He just sounds like he's shouting...can't stand him.

Actually i never noticed who introduced miss frank, i think it was dermot?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,004 ✭✭✭Ann22

I think it's an advantage to sing a popular song. I wonder was Danyl wise to sing an unknown one?

    Poor is an understatement...

Complete rubbish but they'll tell him it was wonderful.

does he have gold fillings? didnt really like that song, sounded like he was out of tune and sync with the backing track.

plus Dannii sucking up majorly this week

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 7,849 Mod ✭✭✭✭suitcasepink

Is it not easier to sing a song nobodys heard of?
They cant compare you to the real version..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,242 ✭✭✭mariaf24

    Agree with chinafoot.
I think the sound is poor in general the music is too loud over the voices

The start was a bit iffy but as usual he got into it, not sure i believe the innocent act though
